Medium Re-Sawn Cedar Shakes
1/2″ x 24″ Medium Cedar Shakes (Natural)
Medium Re-Sawn Cedar Shakes are sold by the bundle. There are 5 bundles in a square, one bundle covers approximately 20 square feet. Because of its dimensional stability, light weight, straight grain and natural durablity, western red cedar is considered superior to other species for manufacturing shakes. For application purposes, exposures vary depending on length, grade and thickness of shakes. Medium re-sawn cedar shakes can be applied with a 10″ exposure for a 24″ shake on 4/12 or steeper pitched roofs.
