Cofer/Adams Building Center is on the leading edge of technology in many areas of our industry. These include the latest technology in general ledger, point of sale, inventory management, and communications software. We have a self-sufficient Engineered Wood Department including a state of the art computer driven saw with an automated HVAC Chase Cutter, fully integrated CAD design, and optimization software.

We are especially proud of our floor system design using Boise Engineered Wood Products such as BCI Joists and Versa- Lam LVL. We purchase these in 48, 60 and 66 feet lengths, and cut them to the exact lengths (within 1/64 of an inch) required for a particular house plan. We also route the holes for HVAC ductwork. Builders are supplied with a detailed floor drawing showing where each joist is to be placed.
